Cost

Quality of teaching: High Quality CPD support.

This can take a variety of forms:

1. ONE day of ‘in house’ curriculum support; this can include lesson observations and feedback with different staff throughout the day

2. NQT specific: ONE day (or 2 half days) of support designed to increase subject knowledge / delivery for newly qualified staff

3. Staff meetings designed around specific issues. TWO staff meetings on a theme that school chooses e.g.: AfL, AoL, inclusion, using gymnastic equipment

4. ONE day whole school INSET: on specific whole school issues such as using sport as a tool to improve handwriting skills, write dance, OAA

5. TWO twilight sport specific CPD sessions: how to improve your curriculum delivery of tennis, netball, football, gymnastics, athletics, basketball, tag rugby, dance, multi skills, cricket etc

6. Individual CPD out of school: ONE day course for staff across different schools e.g.: wet weather lesson planning, swimming, health and safety training

Extent to which pupils adopt healthy lifestyles:

6 weeks x 1 hour of coaching in a variety of sports. Delivered by City Academy Bristol coaches
or Bristol City FC coaches. All of whom have enhanced CRB checks, safeguarding qualifications, minimum level 2 coaching award and a wealth
of experience

Two Tokens

Outcomes for individuals and groups of pupils:

6 weeks x 1 hour of targeted support for specific pupils. Using sport as the tool to support improved self esteem, behaviour, attendance

Two Tokens

Pupil achievement and attainment: raising literacy and numeracy skills.

15 places on a 2 hour movie-making course at Ashton Gate including a tour of the ground

Overall Effectiveness / Capacity for sustained improvement:

ONE day of Pre OR Post-Ofsted support with a written action plan

Effectiveness of the schools engagement with parents/carers:

TWO days (or 4 half days) of family learning opportunities where parents/carers and
children can learn together and increase basic literacy and numeracy skills. Using IT to support family learning including making movies, numeracy
and podcasting

TWO tokens

Extent to which pupils contribute to the school and wider community:

ONE day of peer tutor training. Train up your students to support their younger peers in lessons and/or through transition from Infants to Juniors.
Training will include learning to learn and study skills as well as support strategies for helping younger learners.

ONE token

Effectiveness with which the school promotes community cohesion:

Learning outside the classroom agenda. TWO full days or a combination of 4 half days support. Creative ways to engage learners outside of the school setting using the local environment and places in and around
Bristol. Working with other adults to enhance your curriculum i.e. projects with local elders and other groups. Achieving the Learning Outside the
Classroom kite mark.

Quality of teaching and the use of assessment to support learning:

6 ‘drop in’ twilight CPD sessions (one per term) at various central venues. Each session will have a theme driven by needs of local schools e.g.: gymnastic
ideas, APP.

ONE token

Quality of teaching:

Support to introduce and embed the Leap into
Life Curriculum for key stage 1. This would involve THREE full days or a combination of half days support and includes a full set of resources

THREE tokens

Extent to which pupils adopt healthy lifestyles:

A sports day at the new Whitehall athletics track with support from PE staff / coaches / leaders from The City Academy.

ONE token

Extent to which pupils contribute to school and the wider community:

An opportunity for pupils to work with the Olympic Values Champions, learn more about the Olympic and Paralympic Games, organise assemblies and events. 2 x half days.
