Competitions

Competition

Our primary School Competition Manager; Lee Ward has put together a competition pack which is part of our handbook. It can be downloaded from the Downloads page

There are many competitions on offer to our pupils throughout the academic year. Some are informal festivals with a competitive element which are usually organised in cluster groups by your SSCo.
Others are more formal and are organised through Lee, sometimes alongside the Governing Body for that sport.

Every year the sports leader from your feeder secondary school will organise a festival (with or without a competitive element). These are called TOP Link Festivals and will take place during National School Sports Week (week beginning Monday 29th June).

Virtual Leagues

We also run Intra/Inter School Competitions called Virtual Leagues. Lucy Cowgill is in charge of these across our Partnership. These can be run during a curriculum PE lesson and then the results are sent to Lucy.

The competition then becomes a ‘virtual’ one because all the results are collated across all our schools. At present it has just been Key Stage 1 classes involved in this but we would like all Key Stage 2 classes to get involved this academic year.

It is our expectation that:
1. Your school will be part of the TOP Link Festival
2. Every year group in your school will be involved in ONE competition during the academic year.
3. Your school will get involved in the Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 Virtual Competition.
